Before I took a break from blogging I enjoyed discovering new and old artists. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to albums I’d never heard before, whilst re-listening to albums that I’ve loved and wanted to share with you all.
In the last year I’ve been widening my musical horizons and I love the diversity I now have. I’m always looking for new songs and artists. Today is going to one of many musical discoveries in this series.
After the recent release of her latest album The Tortured poets department swiftly followed by a deluxe The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology containing a whopping 31 songs I am eager to share with you some of may favourite songs from the deluxe album.
I honestly believe this is Taylors best work yet . She’s really set the stage for more outstanding music like this in the future .
It was so hard to write a list of my favourite songs from the album, and I painstakingly whittled it down to five songs that I think are quite diverse from the album. Enjoy !
Fortnight featuring post malone
The first song of TTPD and deluxe album and it really sets the bar for the entire album. I have no words it’s honestly perfection. For me it symbolises that some things are only temporary and we should grab those moments with both hands. One of the best collaborations on the album

Florida!!! Featuring Florence and the machine
An actual belter of a song , my twin sister and myself love singing this from the top of our lungs . It’s one of those songs that just makes you feel happy when you sing along. Florida is a carefree song that definitely needs to make it on your playlist no questions asked .

Who’s afraid of little old me ?
When I hear this song I think of one of my cats Beatriz , hear me out …
It’s a song I have seen a lot over on tiktok and for good reason . We should never underestimate anyone including ourselves and for me that’s what this represents . Basically Beatriz is a no-nonsense tabby who shouldn’t be underestimated and when Taylor sings “who’s afraid of little old me ? Well you should be” I instantly think of that. Never underestimate yourself

The alchemy
Whenever I hear this song I feel like I’m going through taylors diary. There’s such a personal feeling to it. We can’t miss the Football references. I know we’ve seen a lot of Taylor and Travis on social media but this song feels we get to see the real them and not what we see on social media. Call me a romantic but this a song simplifying a beautiful love story

thanK you aIMee
I love this song for so many reasons . Perfect example of exceptional song writing and story telling. The lyrics really struck a cord with me .
Especially if you deep dive into the lyrics and for me when I was listening to it not only is it about someone being terribly awful you but channelling that into something that makes you happy will always make those awful comments worth nothing. Taylor did and exceptional job at telling that in this song. Might be one of her best yet.

I listen to songs from this album every day and there’s a song for a every mood and day. This I strongly believe is Taylors best work yet and I can’t wait to see else we see from Taylor in the future.
