Welcome back to another musical discovery.
This discovery is brought to you from someone who has shown me the true power of music, my dad. Growing up, music has been something that brought my family joy and happiness . No matter what was happening in life, music was the one thing that never changed and only got better. So way back in 2018 my dad was going to the evolve tour in london and from that moment on imagine dragons became a huge part of my musical favourites and been a part of some difficult and sad but also truly special moments.
It’s a pleasure to share this album with you as I believe its one of their best, but maybe im being biased

Take me to the beach
This has to be my ultimate favourite song from the album . As I’m writing this I’m listening to this song, and it really elevates my mood. Today has been a difficult day for my family as one of our great danes, Duke passed away suddenly ( August 11th) . This is the power of good music it can transport you to another place for just a few minutes . This song will hold memories of today for a long time not just bad but also good too, I completed my longest run to the BEACH in memory of Duke and this was the perfect song to mark the finish line.
In your corner
This song signifies for me the moment you know something is bad for you and you need to put you first , it also expresses that you have been there for someone in there corner but they turn there back on you anyway. This song gets you straight in the core and has me thinking about being in similar situations where I’ve had to put me first. It makes me think of less than happy times but also reminds me I’m stronger for those situations. If you’re going through something like that you will be stronger for this lesson, it might not feel like it now but you will. There is no shame in putting you first and if someone ever makes you feel like that then they have no place in your life.
Don’t forget me
Life might move on, but the feeling of losing someone does not. This song explains that perfectly.
It makes me think of all those I’ve loved and lost, but it’s not sad memories. it’s those happy moments that put a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart. In there’s an afterlife, I hope they remember us too because we will always remember them.
No matter the time that pass of the amount of tears we shed, we will always love them, and we will never forget them.
If you’re feeling sad right now, let the sadness out in whichever way helps you . Tomorrow is a new day, and it will get easier, and you will always remember them. Love never forgets, and neither will you
Fire in the hills
Even when we make mistakes the right person will always be there for you know matter what. Life is about learning from them and this song tells that story. You are not you without that one person who makes you feel strong and enough. Sometimes trying means failing.
Even when you don’t think you can go anymore you can, with the right support no fire is ever too big to put out.
Be enough for you and the strength will follow suit , you are stronger than you think so never forget that. No matter what life throws at me I know I can overcome them with good music and those who love and support me , im here for you too. This song makes me feel even when im tired or had enough I can do whatever I put my mind too and so can you.
I’ve really enjoyed sharing this album with you . This post has been a bit of a therapy for me in this tough time.
