Welcome back to another musical discovery.
This discovery is brought to you from someone who has shown me the true power of music, my dad. Growing up, music has been something that brought my family joy and happiness . No matter what was happening in life, music was the one thing that never changed and only got better. So way back in 2018 my dad was going to the evolve tour in london and from that moment on imagine dragons became a huge part of my musical favourites and been a part of some difficult and sad but also truly special moments.

Before I took a break from blogging I enjoyed discovering new and old artists. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to albums I’d never heard before, whilst re-listening to albums that I’ve loved and wanted to share with you all.
In the last year I’ve been widening my musical horizons and I love the diversity I now have. I’m always looking for new songs and artists. Today is going to one of many musical discoveries in this series.

Welcome back to another blog and this post is just one of the many things that I feel extremely passionate about.
For the last seven years along with my twin sister we have adopted six cats and I’m grateful we are able to give them better lives.

It’s okay to change plans and put yourself first there is no shame in that. Once upon a time, I saw that as weakness in myself, and sometimes I still do.
This post was supposed to be about something else entirely, but something close to that happened, and it didn’t feel right, and I’m still recovering from emotionally.
So, I decided what better time to share with you some of the things I like to do when something has taken it out of me emotionally.
Here’s some of the things that help me recharge emotionally

Firstly welcome to 2024 and well done for doing your best in 2023. As we begin a new year we think of all the things we want to accomplish and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, I know I’ve been there.
Setting yourself goals that are just too big and not getting round to and with that we can feel a mixture of negative emotions so this year I’ve decided to take a different approach to the new year.

Let’s get into shall we …
1. Intentions not goals
I think by calling it intentions rather than goals makes it feel less intimidating. If you think of it like this, I intend to do such a thing, and by phrasing it in a way that’s positive, you already feel like your accomplishing it.
2. Set manageable intentions
When I was writing my list of intentions, I wrote, for example, read 3 books a month, and in brackets, I wrote a note to myself to increase in a couple of months. It’s easy to set yourself unmanageable expectations that you aren’t able to fulfil with the chance you’ll not stick to because they seem or feel too big. By starting off small and increasing later on, your actually adding to your list rather than avoiding it, and with that I’m sure it will feel like a big win.

3. New year , Better You
When I was reflecting on last year and think of the new year I kept seeing “New Year , New you” and I just thought what’s wrong with the old me. Having experienced lessons from the previous years you have essentially carved a better you as without those lessons you aren’t the person that you see before you now. Think of it as every year you are adding something to yourself rather than creating a whole new you. And I think that is worth celebrating.

Have a lovely 2024 and I’ll see you very soon
