
I’ve always been fascinated by what goodness is the fruit and vegetables we eat and how they help our bodies and strengthen our senses . In this post I will tell you my favourite smoothie recipes and there super powers.
Each of these Super smoothies as I like to call them each target a vital part of our bodies from our Skin to eye health to improving our digestive system. Oh and did I mention they are super yummy.
Super Skin smoothie
In my super skin smoothie I like to include
Water I put enough water to cover the contents of the smoothie
Oranges they give the smoothie that sweetness . They also help your body make collagen and high in vitamin c whilst preventing your skin from damage
Banana keeps your skin healthy , hydrates and moisturises
Cucumber Full of antioxidants cucumbers help protect your skin from damaging and aging. They can also improve skin texture and appearance.
Celery is packed with a lot of goodness I try to put it in every smoothie I make. It’s full of antioxidants, has anti inflammatory properties and helps your skin stay hydrated and helps reduce blemishes and acne scaring
Super Eye smoothie
In my super eye smoothie I like to include
Water I put enough water to cover the contents of the smoothie
Yellow apples are packed with goodness and specifically help with our night vision.
Celery is one of the most effective ways to improve our vision and actually surpasses blueberries which is the only other food that can protect your eyesight to this level. So definitely include this in your super smoothie
Purple grapes by including them to your smoothie you are protecting your retina from deterioration a vital part of our eye health
Banana are an excellent way to improve eye health as they are known to be an excellent source of nutrients. By adding Bananas into your diet you are slowing down sight loss conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration.
Super digestive smoothie
In my super digestive smoothie I like to include
Water I put enough water to cover the contents of the smoothie
Celery by now you’ll notice Celery really is a super vegetable. By adding it into your digestive smoothie you are packing giving yourself some vitamin c which is known for help your gut balance between good and bad bacteria . A singular stick of celery includes at least 12 antioxidants and can reduce inflammation in the digestive tract.
Oranges are full of vitamin c which help prevent ulcers. Oranges are great source of fibre which in turn helps our digestive system process food and keep a healthy weight.
Bananas help prevent constipation, improve gut health and digestion. Bananas are fibre rich and contain insulin which stimulates growth of good bacteria in our gut.
Green grapes contain bioactive compounds which are extremely beneficial to our gut health. The dietary fibre grapes act as a prebiotic which helps provide beneficial nourishing for gut bacteria.
You can also add things like honey for sweetness and chia seeds which can help improve heart health . There are many seeds that you can add to your smoothies depending on benefits and preference.
